725TH AIR MOBILITY SQUADRON

The 725th Air Mobility Squadron is located as a tenant unit on Naval Station Rota, Spain. The squadron is assigned to the 521st Air Mobility Operations Wing headquartered at Ramstein Air Base, Germany.

Lineage:
The squadron was originally constituted as the 625th Military Airlift Support Squadron which activated on December 27, 1965 and later inactivated on August 1, 1983. The unit consolidated on June 1, 1992 with the 625th Military Airlift Support Group, which was established on July 1, 1983, and activated on August 1, 1983. The consolidated unit was redesignated as the 625th Airlift Support Squadron on June, 1 1992. The name changed to 625th Air Mobility Support Squadron on April 1, 1994. Finally the unit became the 725th Air Mobility Squadron, on March 15, 2001.

Provide premier maintenance, command and control and aerial port support to the joint war-fighter through compliance, expertise, innovation and professionalism to ensure the safe, efficient and effective projection of Rapid Global Mobility.
