726TH AIR MOBILITY SQUADRON

The 726th Air Mobility Squadron is located as a tenant unit on Spangdahlem Air Base. The squadron is assigned to the 521st Air Mobility Operations Wing headquartered at Ramstein Air Base, Germany.

Lineage:
The unit was constituted as 626th Military Airlift Support Squadron, and activated, on Dec 27, 1965 and later organized on Jan. 8, 1966. The 626th MASS discontinued and inactivated on April 8, 1966 and was redesignated as the 626th Air Mobility Support Squadron on May 26, 1994 which activated on July 1, 1994. The unit was redesignated on final time on March 15, 2001 as the 726th Air Mobility Squadron.
