521ST AIR MOBILITY OPERATIONS GROUP

The 521st Air Mobility Operations Group is headquartered on Naval Station Rota, Spain. The group is assigned to the 521st Air Mobility Operations Wing headquartered at Ramstein Air Base, Germany and has oversight of four squadrons.

Lineage:
Constituted 521 Air Mobility Operations Group on August 19, 2008 and activated September 4, 2008.

Mission:
Conduct en route operational support and aircraft maintenance, air mobility command and control, and aerial port operations, integrated with the Joint deployment and distribution enterprise and in concert with our allies and partners, to deploy and sustain the joint force in Africa, Asia, and Europe in support of national objectives.
